My LA Trip

Somewhat later than intended, here is a selection and the sights and sounds of my trip to LA last September.

I visited West Hills, Calabasas, Hollywood Boulevard, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Sunset Boulevard, Beverly Hills, Malibu, the Griffith Observatory, Los Feliz and I saw Slash and Myles Kennedy in concert at the Roxy. I had a little chat with Gene Simmons and Nuno Bettencourt who were in the audience. That was quite a night!

I had a fantastic time and was royally looked after by my brother, sister in law and nephew (the up and coming rock drummer, Zach Wood, currently on tour with Like a Storm who are touring with Steel Panther).

I can really say I have now "done" Los Angeles.

Global Search for the New Original Harry Potter Jr. Launches on ShareNow.com

Remake of cult classic “Troll” commences casting call for its lead role “Harry Potter Jr.” and his sister “Wendy Anne Potter”

Los Angeles, CA: Veteran producer Steve Waterman (Alvin and the Chipmunks) is poised to begin work on a remake of the 1986 cult movie “Troll”. Award winning director John Buechler will return as the film’s director.

“Twenty two years following Troll’s original release, I am thrilled to be recasting for the remake of this fantasy film,” says Buechler. “I am particularly excited about casting for the film’s original lead character Harry Potter Jr.,” adds Buechler. The 1986 cult classic Potter was played by actor Noah Hathaway, now 40 years old.

“Today’s Potter will appear to be 12 years of age,” quotes Peter Davy the film’s co-producer who says the lead will be, “Snagged by a boy who is comfortable in the film’s environment of a parallel world of magic, witches, wizards, fairies and trolls.”

Hathaway will obviously not reprise his original role as Potter in the new film, but will be back as “Turok”, the evil wizard who is Harry Potter’s arch-nemesis in the feature film.

“What 12 year old boy wouldn’t want to play the role of Potter,” says Davy who anticipates overwhelming response to the search currently posted on ShareNow.com.
